This month, Editor-in-Chief of Mindful Magazine Barry Boyce, explores the growing body of research that suggests that being curious about our mistakes is the "royal road to learning" and that mindful techniques can help. Boyce explains that "making a mistake hurts. It can carry with it embarrassment, even shame...and that most of us have been socialised to associate failure with purely negative outcomes." However, a number of studies have shown that "having the opportunity to learn from failure and consider options can turn failure into a positive experience that satisfies reward centres in the brain."
